Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEREMY IAN HAREWOOD It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jeremy on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the age of 47 years. He was predeceased by his mother Cicely and brother Derek. Left to mourn are his wife Diane, and two beautiful daughters Raylene and Keesha; his father Rudolph, twin brother Julian younger brother Peter as well as many relatives and friends. Jeremy was born in London, England and came to Canada at the age of seven, settling in Winnipeg. He graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate in 1978. After graduation Jeremy owned a D-jay service company, Sonic Sound, with his brother Derek. Jeremy began his career with the Winnipeg Police Service on January 13, 1992. As a uniform patrol officer he served the citizens of Winnipeg in the downtown and north end divisions and served in the Youth Division and the Recruiting Unit as a plainclothes investigator. Through his hard work and determination Jeremy was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in 2006 and assigned to Community Policing at the Pembina district station. Throughout his successful career Jeremy received numerous letters of recognition from the public for his initiative, tenacity and professional manner. He also received a special acknowledgement from the service for his dedication as a field training officer for recruits. Jeremy will be remembered by his fellow officers as a caring and dedicated officer. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Avenue, at 2:00 p.m. If people so desire donations may be made to a memorial fund for the education of Jeremy's daughters at the Winnipeg Police Credit Union at 300 William Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P9, phone 944-1033 (Raylene and Keesha Harewood Fund). Jeremy has been like a member of the Jensen family for many many years. Jeremy was truly one of the nicest people I have had the good fortune to meet and have in our lives. Our extreme condolences and love go out to all of Jeremy's father and two brothers. We will be praying for the safe, peaceful and fulfilling lives for his beautiful two daughters.
