AURELIUS (LEON) BENNETT Peacefully on October 28, 2007 Leon A. Bennett passed on at Lion's Manor. He was predeceased by son Hughie in 1977 and wife Florence Bennett nee Ducharme in 1995 and his only sibling Lurline Crawford nee Bennett on October 24, 2007. Leon is survived by daughters, Arlene and Lurline; son Guy; grandchildren, Lana-Lee, Amber, Guy, Tara, Karlene and Keegan; many nephews and nieces. Leon was born in Memphis, TN on September 16, 1925. He came to Canada as a young man and worked for Via Rail until retirement in 1985. He was a devoted family man, hardworker and of great character that is so rarely seen in this day and age. His passions were family, friends, music and gardening. He connected with people of all ages, from young to old. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and although he has passed on he will live in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate enough to have known him! A memorial service to celebrate Leon's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
