EMERALD GRACE MCNEIL (nee ROBERTSON, nee POYNTER) Passed away peacefully at Penticton Regional Hospital, Penticton, BC on October 17, 2007 at the age of 87. Born on March 9, 1920, she was predeceased by her first husband David Robertson, second husband George McNeil, son Gordon (Gillian) Robertson, and grandson Gregory. Emerald is survived by her son Ian (Linda), step-son Gary (Lois) McNeil, step-daughters Debbie Horth, Lynn (J.D.) McNeil, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Emerald was well known for her love of music playing as a professional organist and pianist. She also willingly volunteered her musical talents wherever they were needed. All who knew her will dearly miss her playing. She had special memories of the Organiser Club and the Bonsor Senior's Centre groups both in Vancouver. Memorial tributes in Emerald's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. There will be no funeral. A Celebration of her life will follow next summer when her ashes will be taken to Winnipeg, MB for burial. We love you Nanny, Goodbye.
