Date of Passing: Oct 31, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN (WOZNIAK) SANIUK On the eve of All Saint's Day, October 31, 2007, Ann Saniuk passed away at St. Joseph's Residence at the age of 96. Ann was predeceased by her parents Ignacious and Tekla Wozniak, her younger brother Peter during the Second World War, her brother Frank and sister Sophie and her husband William. Left to remember and love her is her sister Mary Klar of South Dakota, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Nessa of West Vancouver, son Don of Winnipeg and of course her grandchildren who she adored Jesse, Jordan, Christopher and Allison. Ann led a long and fruitful life. She lived through the Great Depression and two World Wars. She worked at Eaton's most of her life and retired from there at the age of 75. Ann loved gardening and cooking. Her specialties will be missed by all. Her love of family was always strong. She was a caregiver by nature, always putting everyone else before her. Her father died at an early age, so she went to work to help support the family. When her mother became ill she looked after her at home until she passed as well. When her sister Sophie became ill she would visit her almost daily at St. Joseph's Residence, where everyone seemed to know her. Ann had an incredible inner strength and willpower that anyone who knew her could testify to. She was always there to help in any way she could, she was a very selfless person. It was only fitting that God called her home on the Eve of All Saint's Day as He must have seen she had suffered enough in the last year. Ann will be sadly missed but always loved by her family and those who knew her. Special thanks to everyone at St. Joseph's Residence for their kindness and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. You are at peace now mom and with the rest of your family that has gone before you. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
