NETTIE WASTLE (nee SAWATZKY) Quietly and peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Nettie Wastle (nee Sawatzky), age 70, passed away with family and loved ones by her side on Sunday evening October 28, 2007 in St. Boniface Hospital. Nettie was born in Otterburne, Manitoba on February 23, 1937 and after numerous family moves, settled in Winnipeg working for Weston Bakeries. Mom lived for her family and loved to be surrounded by them. The clatter of activity created by her children and grand-children brought joy to her heart. Her passions included family gatherings, Crestview United UCW, cooking, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, hiking, bowling, traveling and camping. These activities were always enjoyed with happiness and laughter. The family would like to thank the staff of Grace CancerCare Unit, Ste.
