WILLARD FERN VIVIAN Willard Fern Vivian passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa in Winnipeg, MB on October 18, 2007. Willard was born September 29, 1917 to Ed and Alma Poole in Neepawa, MB. She was predeceased by per parents, her sister, Phylis, her husband, George, and son in-law, Jim Hill. Willard is survived by her son, Gaynor Vivian (Rhonda), her daughter, Cathi Hill (Alan), her granddaughter, Garrity Hill (Kent) of Melbourne, Australia, and her grandson, Gavin Hill of Winnipeg, MB. Willard attended school in Neepawa and worked at a dentist office after completion of high school. She married George Vivian, December 2, 1940. She lived in Neepawa until the early 1980s when she moved to Brandon, MB. In Neepawa, Willard was active in the St. James Anglican Church, the Eastern Star, Neepawa Curling Club, Neepawa Golf Club, and served multiple terms as a school trustee. Willard had a close connection with Clear Lake, MB as her father and husband both had motels and other business interests there. She spent many summers playing and working at the Idylwylde Cabins, which were owned by her father and later sold to her husband, George. Later Willard enjoyed her summers at her cabin at Clear Lake until the late 1990's. She maintained a condo in New Port Richy, Florida. She loved her winters spent in Florida with her many friends. Her children and grandchildren were the center on her life. Garrity and Gavin will treasure their memories of her devotion to family, sense of humour, and generous spirit. For the last ten years she has been a resident of Winnipeg, MB at the Wellington and Tuxedo Villa Care Home. Special thanks to the staff at Tuxedo Villa who were so good to her over the past three years and particularly within the last weeks. Thanks also to Dr. Gwen Kalansky who has been a tremendous support to Willard for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held December 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. James Anglican Church in Neepawa, MB. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to the New Neepawa Personal Care Home, PO Box 1240, Neepawa, MB R0J 0H0.
