RONALD ALEXANDER HAY Defiantly, at the age of 69 years, and after a brief battle with Cancer, Ron passed away at Riverview Health Center on October 30, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Julianne, son Ross and partner, Barbara Magee and grandson Ryan Alexander Hay. He is also survived by brother Bill and sisters Irene Hay and Helen Aime as well as sister- in -law, Harriet Hay and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents, Ronald Sr. and mother Margaret Hay of Balmoral, Manitoba. Ron was born in Stonewall, and lived in rural Balmoral where he attended school. He also attended Stonewall High School prior to working at the Grain Exchange in Winnipeg. In 1957 he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and made a career in Aircraft Log control traveling to Germany and Sardinia during his Administrative duties. After retiring, he joined the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires and continued working until just five weeks before his death. Ron was an active volunteer with the Western Canadian Aviation Museum where his knowledge of aircraft was a valuable asset. He enjoyed leading tour groups where he could share that knowledge. His first love was aircraft; his second love was golf and the many friends he met who could join him for a round or two. His wife used to offer him a blanket so he could Just stay there on the Golf Course if he wanted to. Ron and son, Ross, spent many hours hacking the little white ball around and had several trips together to Westhawk Lake. The favorite line was, YELL FORE, SHOOT SIX, WRITE DOWN FIVE! There is a destiny that makes us brothers, None goes his way alone. All that you give to the lives of others, Comes back into your own. Funeral Service will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Service, 433 Main Street, Stonewall, Manitoba at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007.
