WILLIAM (BILL) KUYPERS (WILHLEMUS PETRUS) William Kuypers, passed away in the presence of his family at St. Boniface Hospital on October 30, 2007 at the age of 88. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Debbie (Dan) of St. Andrews and his sons Bill (Dianne) of Calgary, Dick (Ruth) of Winnipeg, and by his grandchildren Sean (Pauline), Robert (Jennifer), Darren (Sonya), Derek, Krystal, Scott, Ainsley, Tara-Lee (Charles), Rick, and step-grandchildren Brigitte and Blair (Crystal). Also left to mourn are 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Gertrude in 2001 and his daughter Tina in 1999. William was born on March 4, 1919 in The Hague, Netherlands. William and Gertrude were married for 57 wonderful years. They immigrated to Manitoba in 1957 and resided in St. Vital for the past 45 years. William enjoyed the time he spent with family, coin collecting, going to the mall for coffee, and his passion was watching wrestling. He worked as a typesetter for a newspaper in Holland. He retired from People’s Jewelers in 1977. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses on the sixth floor Family Medicine of St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A special thanks to Dr. Balko and also thanks to Home Care. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
