GEORGE MCKAY Peacefully on November 1, 2007, George passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 73. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathie; his sons, Brian (Anne) and Scott; his grandsons, Conner, Kyle, Todd and Troy; and friend to the family, Shelly. George was born on October 19, 1934 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He spent his lifetime as a painter and upon retirement worked as a security officer at the RCMP D division. George enjoyed reading, painting/artwork and debating soccer. He will be sadly missed by numerous friends and family on both sides of the ocean. As George wished, cremation has taken place. A ceremony in celebration of his life will be held at the Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Ave. E., on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Parkinson's Society, in honour of his friend Jack or to OARC (Communication Devices for Children with Verbal Disabilities) in honour of his grandson, Troy.
