Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON ANNE YOUNG Sharon Anne Young of Lloydminster, AB passed away October 31, 2007 at the Manville Personal Care Home at the age of 65 years. Sharon was born on September 6, 1942 at Souris District Hospital in Souris, Manitoba, the first child of Phillip and Claire Cook. Sharon spent the first few years of her life in Esquimalt, BC where Phil was stationed in the Navy. At wars end, the family moved to Regina, SK where Sharon began her school years. In the early 1950s the family moved to the Findlay District in southern Manitoba where she completed her schooling at Findlay and Pipestone Schools. Sharon and Bob married October 9, 1965. They lived in Swift Current, SK and Brandon, MB before settling down in Thompson, MB in 1967 until their retirement in 1995 in Morden, MB. After Bob's passing Sharon moved to Lloydminster, AB to be closer to her family. While living in Thompson, Sharon and Bob were active members of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. In Morden, Sharon and Bob enjoyed attending functions at the Friendship Centre. Sharon enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoint and crafts in general, she always had some sort of project on the go. Sharon was predeceased by her infant daughter Jennifer in 1981, husband Bob in 1998, parents Phillip and Claire Cook in 1985 and sister Cathy in 1995. She is survived by her son Bryan, his wife Tracey and their children, Dawson and Hanna of Sylvan Lake, AB, Brad (Pam) Walby of Thompson, MB; sisters, Lynn (Cliff) Callan of Marshall, SK, Donna (Jim) McLean of Hay River, NWT; brothers, Terry (Sheila) Cook of Hay River, NWT, Mike (Donna) Cook of Pipestone, MB, Bob (Karen) Cook of Lloydminster SK; mother-in-law Margaret Young of Morden, MB, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from the Manitou Cemetery, Manitou. A reception will follow from the Manitou United Church.
