HELMUT WIECZOREK Helmut Wieczorek was born August 5, 1915 in Wishanov, Poland. He immigrated to Canada in July 1949, and married Tilly Lutz, December 2, 1949, residing in Morris, MB. He accepted the Lord Jesus as his saviour early in life and was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris. He later moved to Winnipeg where he became a faithful and active member of McDermot Avenue Baptist Church. July 2002 he moved into the Meadowood Towers where he lived until the Lord called him home early morning on November 4, 2007. He was predeceased by his wife Tilly in 2005 and great-grandson Ryan in 1993. He will be missed by his stepdaughter Anne (Harry) Pohl, stepson Erwin (Rita) Lutz; grandchildren Carla (Wayne) Litke; Carmen (Manfred) Glor, Jonathan (Amber) Lutz, and Timothy Lutz; five great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brock and Matthew Litke; Hayden and Hailey Glor; many friends and relatives. Funeral service will be at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, 821 McDermot Ave. on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m., viewing at the church prior to the service. Donations to Meadowood Manor Chaplaincy Fund will be gratefully accepted. Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Victoria Hospital for their care and support.
