LILY MEYER Lily Meyer passed away peacefully on November 2, 2007 at the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Poland, she moved to Canada at a young age and grew up in the Swan River Valley, Manitoba. She accepted Jesus as her saviour as a teenager through the ministry of Canadian Sunday School Mission. She remained steadfast and devoted to her Christian faith throughout her life. She loved to study the bible, and was a faithful listener and supporter of Thru the Bible radio program and Back to the Bible broadcasting. She was a member of Grant Memorial Baptist Church for over 50 years. She especially enjoyed her Tuesday morning Bible study group where she had many great friends. She is survived by her husband, Peter, five daughters, one son and five grandchildren. They will all remember her for her devotion and commitment to their well being, her love for nature, flowers, cooking, baking, and preserving. Her favourite Bible verse is John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. Reception to follow.
