MARIA (MARY) KORNELL (nee URSO) November 24, 1921 November 4, 2007 Peacefully on November 4, 2007 following a lengthy illness Marie found peace. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 58 years Stan, as well as her three children Gary, David, (Roslyn) and Diane (Gord); four grandchildren Dylan, Brendan, Lauryn and Liam; sisters Seena, Agnes, Josie (Stan), brothers Sam (Joyce), Frank (Marge) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Angelina. Marie moved from Sicily, Italy when she was four years old and resided in Transcona ever since. She was an amazing cook, loved the Blue Bombers and had a passion for fun; enjoying for a number of years her time with the CWL and church bingo, as well as monthly dinners with the Italian Angels and her Wednesday breakfast with the girls . What she treasured the most was the time she spent with her family. Mom's lively spirit and unending love of life saw her through many difficult challenges during her illness; her courage and strength will always inspire us. A special acknowledgement to all the Homecare workers and family who supported mom with their compassionate care and home cooking. R3E 0V9 Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 710 Roanoke Street. Reception to follow funeral mass. Interment will be held at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road.
