Charlie was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba. He subsequently moved to Winnipeg, where he had a long and fortunate career in the grain trade. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty, his parents, Charles and Helen, and his three sisters, Betty, Effie and Helen. He is survived by his brother Don MacRae; his daughter Connie MacRae-Buchanan (Dan); his son Murray MacRae (Patty); his grandchildren Benny Buchanan, and Sam, Elly and Anna MacRae; as well as many nieces, nephews and loving in-laws. In lieu of this, the family will keep open house in celebration of his rich life, on Friday, November 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 209 Yale Avenue, Crescentwood. Charlie was grateful for the warm and respectful care he recently received from the staff of Tuxedo Villa, as well as those of the Riverview Rehabilitation Unit, the Misericordia Health Centre and the Victoria Hospital. He was impressed by your dedication, and we thank you on his behalf. No flowers, please. Instead, if friends wish, donations in Charlie's memory to the new Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg would be gratefully received. (Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, 1560-201 Portage Ave. R3B 3K6).
