Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY AUGUST WIEBE It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Roy Wiebe, beloved husband of Leona on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 65 years. Roy was a loving Father and exceptional Grandpa to his two daughters and their families, Sherry (Randall) Wiebe-Dembowski, Kira, Lucas, Lauren; and Michele (Gordon) Hodge, Grace, Tyler, Brad, Brennan, Sandra, Sarah. Roy is also survived by his mother, Anne Kostjuk, his brothers and sisters and in-laws, Brian, Jim (Sylvia), Nancy (Art), Violet, Vivian (Jim), Harold, Gloria (Herb), Ben (Linda), Alice, and their families, and Kathy's family. Roy's greatest joy in life was making kids happy. Roy was always a kid at heart and really enjoyed playing with his children, nieces, nephews, friends' children, and especially his grandchildren. He made special cards and presents for his grandchildren and always arranged a special birthday weekend for each of them each year with him and Grandma at their place. They sure loved that. Roy was an accomplished, competitive curler in his younger years. He also enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes. One of Roy's favorite pastimes was cooking special dinners for family and friends. His prime rib dinners at Christmas were much anticipated and thoroughly enjoyed. Roy was also a voracious reader and an avid fisherman. Roy devoted himself to his entire family and was always there to help those in need. The family would like to thank all of the health care professionals who helped Roy and his family over the past year. With their assistance, Roy was able to enjoy visiting and joking around with his family and friends right to the end. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Roy's name, if friends and family so desire, to The Rainbow Society. 303-1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6 - Dedicated to making dreams come true for Manitoba children. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Dear Leona & Family, We were so sorry to learn of Roy's passing. Brian and Betty told us that he had been ill recently. We haven't seen you for a very long time, but we still remember the fun we had at the cottage! Take care, and our prayers are with you. - Posted by: Garry & Lorraine Toews (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2007
