ODILON FRANCOIS RODRIGUE (ROD) D'ARGIS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rod D'Argis at Deer Lodge Centre on Monday, November 5, 2007 at the age of 92. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Sharon (Tom) McBurney, Dolores (Moe) Romaniuk and his son Rodney (Betty) D'Argis, his grandchildren, Janna (Paul) Dhoot, James (Amalia) McBurney, Brent D'Argis (Lauren), Kyle Romaniuk (Jill), Michelle (Dean) Bruneau, Angela (Andy) Kollar, and great- grandchildren, Delaney, Kalyssa, Maria, and Ashton, his sister Terry McCaw (Tom) of Victoria, BC, and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Adeline, of 53 years, his sisters Rita Burley and Juliette Miller, and brothers Lorenzo, Louis, Paul and Emile, his parents, Francois-Xavier Raphel and Marie Alice (nee Panneton). Dad was born on December 12, 1914 in St. Boniface. He married his long time love, Adeline Wilhelmina Furst, in 1942 after joining the RCAF. Being stationed in Bella Bella, BC, he built a log cabin as their first home. On his return from overseas, they made their home in Weston for 60 years. Dad was a mechanic employed with Auto Electric for over 25 years until his retirement. He loved fishing with his friends, camping and auto trips with his family. He got great pleasure helping his family build their homes. We will miss the joy and happiness that he brought to family gatherings, and his gentle, kind nature. Interment will take place on Saturday, November 10 at 10:45 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery (D10) followed by a memorial service at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, at 12:00 (noon). Pallbearers will be James McBurney, Brent D'Argis, Kyle Romaniuk, Paul Dhoot, Andy Kollar and Dean Bruneau. The family thanks the staff and Special Angel of Tower 7 for their care and concern for Dad over the last 10 months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to cropo@mts.net CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
