Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years Maurice; daughters, Donna Langdon (Bruce), Carol Mitchell (John), Joan Wendt (Darrel); grandsons, David Langdon (Laura), Jon Mitchell; granddaughters, Jayna Mitchell, Alison Ganze (Ron), Sherry Wendt (Patrick Grosse), Laura McDermid (Michael), Laura Langdon (Richard Streeter) and great-grandchildren, Oscar and Sophia Langdon-Streeter. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Barbara Stewart; sisters, Peggy, Barbara, Alice and brothers, Charlie and John. Mary Polly was born in Winnipeg on February 2, 1918. Raised and educated in St. Vital, she met the love of her life Maurice whom she met at the Eclipse Club and later married in 1940 at Holy Cross Church. Mary and Maurice raised their three daughters in Norwood and Windsor Park, living in Windsor Park for 37 years. From the time she was a young girl, Mom had a special talent in knitting and crocheting, even teaching Dad to crochet in his retirement. Their love of dancing and playing cards filled many Saturday evenings with Air Canada friends and family members. Mom always provided home cooked meals including dessert, welcoming family and friends for Sunday dinner. Many New Year parties and other celebrations were hosted at the family home on Conifer Crescent. She enjoyed travel, especially visiting her family and grandchildren in Alberta and California. She also enjoyed bowling and enumerating for elections. Mom was a dedicated caregiver to Dad during the last 10 years. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Lindenwood Manor, Dr. Greene and Dr. Pacin, nursing staff of Victoria General Hospital and Home Care staff of WRHA. A special thank you to Josephine, Les and Maria. We also appreciate the care and kindness shown by staff of River Park Gardens during her brief stay. Our thanks to those who provided food and support. We are grateful to Dad's sister Doris for her loving support. Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a celebration of Mary's life to follow at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road.
