Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY FROESE On November 7, 2007, Mary Froese passed away peacefully at Calvary Place Personal Care Home after a lengthy illness. Mary was born January 29, 1931 in McCauley, Manitoba, Canada and received her education in Niverville, at United College and the Manitoba Technical Institute in Winnipeg from which she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Shriners' Hospital, Concordia and Misericordia Hospitals before she felt for Sydney, Australia where she was employed at the Prince of Wales Hospital. After retirement, Mary continued an active life of volunteer work in the homes of senior citizens and as a deacon of the church. Her interests included reading, music, stamp collecting, art, photography, entertaining and travelling which took her to South America, Europe, Lopland and Scandinavia. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Agnes Froese, and siblings Tina Bondesen, Sarah and Sidney Day and Henry Froese. She is survived by Jake and Erna Froese of St. Catherines, Betty and Paul Moon of Massachusetts, and Peter and Mary Louise Froese of Beamsville. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, relatives, friends, and church family. The Funeral service will be held Friday, November 9, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street, with interment in the Springstein Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, or a charity of one's choice. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 2146 Main Street 339-5555
