LEOPOLD LAURIN On Wednesday November 7, 2007, at the age of 93 Leopold Laurin, Paul to some, Leo to others, died peacefully at Taché Centre. He was a loving and caring individual who was devoted to his wife Antoinette and his sister Bernadette, both long time residents of Taché. He danced his way into the hearts of many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Emma, his sisters, Yvonne, Catherine, Josephine, Marie-Louise Tetreault, Marie-Anne Duguay, his brothers, Oril, Jean and Edward. He is survived by his wife Antoinette (nee Pineau), his sister Bernadette, his much loved children, Gilbert (Maureen Girvan), Lucille, Annette (Bas Smith), Nicole (Fred Rakowski), his adored grandchildren, Simon Smith (Tina), Louise Wells (Dason), Christopher Rakowski (Heather), Emmanuelle Laurin (Russell), Janek Rakowski (Lindsay), Tristan Rakowski, Dominique and Gabriel Laurin, and Micheal Smith and his seven great-grandchildren. A very heartfelt thanks to the staff of 2 ABC who loved and cared for him and our continuing appreciation for their love and care of our mother Antoinette. Thank you so much for all you have done for us. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 13 at St. Boniface Cathedral with Father Léo Couture presiding.
