Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KAYE) ANNIE GRAHAM October 27, 1915 - November 6, 2007 It is with grieving hearts we announce that our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, fell asleep in death peacefully, after a lengthy illness at the Grace Hospice on November 6, 2007. She is mourned by her daughters Ada (Harry) and Carol (Bob); five grandchildren, Terry, Brian (Penny), Angela (Hugo), Jennifer (Todd), and John, together with nine great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty and brother Taze (of England), one brother-in-law, Jim Graham, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack in 1991; parents Richard Henry, aka, Harry, and Ada Massey, in 1960, sister Phyllis, sister Maude (of England), infant brother Albert, and four year old sister Nicki, as well as numerous sisters and brothers-in-law. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, her youthful roots being in St. Vital. Mom looked forward to the day when she would marry and start a family of her own. At 17 years she was a Princess in a local popularity contest. Mom enjoyed the sport of curling. Here she teamed up with a tall and handsome young man named Jack. This man, the captain of her favourite sport, became the love of her life for 53 years wedding him September 18, 1937. As a young woman she was an accomplished pianist and earned a teaching degree. As family responsibilities were her priority, Mom became involved in teaching later in her homemaking career, having many students over the years. We will always cherish the memories of Mom gardening, canning and preserving for that extra measure of goodness. At the end of her busy day she would take time to unwind at the piano, channeling remnants of her day into heart-lifting lilts and music for our soul. This was her way. As a good neighbour, Mom offered her nurturing skills to nanny the baby girls next door. Earning the endearing term from Tara and Cindy who innocently and trustingly, called her Graham , Mom immediately took on the tasks of their care which she did diligently and lovingly for many years. Mom was ever mindful of God's creations and the beauty in the world. She would often turn to poetry and at times would put her thoughts to rhyme. In 1975 Mom became baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was active in preaching the good news of God's Kingdom. She shared the hope of the resurrection under God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus (John 5:28 29). There will be a memorial service on Monday, November 12, 2007 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 325 Wallasey at 12:30 p.m., Mr. Brian Souter officiating. This service will be followed by a private interment at Chapel Lawn. The family would like to express special thanks to Grace Hospice staff whose care, compassion and support for Mom and family will always be appreciated and remembered. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Kaye's memory to the Worldwide Bible Education Work c/o Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, Box 4100, Halton Hills (Georgetown), Ontario L7G 4Y4.
