With our deepest sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved father, grandfather Gavino Ilagan Sr. who passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2007, at the age of 87 surrounded by his family. Tatay was born on February 19, 1920 in Batangas Philippines where he proudly served his country in the military as well as a elementary teacher for many years. He was happily married to Victoria (Umali) (deceased) and they were most proud of the love they shared with their 14 children, 40 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Great-Grandchildren; Jenessa, Kennedy, Reymar, Rolmar, Reynalyn, Halle, Thessalyn, Cassidy, Kelsey, Thomas, Katiah, Austin, Sydney, Lyle, Jade, Logan, Tahtiana, Halaina. Tatay was a symbol of strength for his family both physically, spiritually and mentally. He enjoyed traveling as he visited family and friends around the globe to reminisce about the past. He enjoyed playing majhong and trips to the casino. Lamay will held from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. midnight on Thursday and Friday, November 15 and 16, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. with interment at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Reception Centre, 4000 Portage Ave. Pallbearers; Jason Ilagan, Jon Jon Omaga, Ken Ilagan, Winn Landagan, Alex Smallwood, A.C Ugalde, Jordan Ilagan. Special thanks to Omaga Family, Landagan Family, Dr. Ernesto Milambiling, Dr. Lotosinsky, Rev. Fr. Dado Parrenas, Rev. Msgr. Enrique Samson Jr. and to the Palliative Nurses especially Maryanne M.
