FILIXINE (PHYLISS) MORRISON (HUFF) (nee NORMAND) October 25, 1937 November 12, 2007 On November 12, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, Mom passed away peacefully with her children by her side. She will be deeply mourned by her loving husband Sid, her children, daughter Geraldine (Gilles), her son Daryle (Jacqui) and her stepson Andy, her cherished grandchildren Danny (Tracy), Marc, Chris, Monique, Jason, Kerri, Michael, Amanda and Ashley; her sisters, Florence (Andy), Olive (Bob), Leah (Wayne), her brothers, Donat (Janet), Alphonse (Jeannette), many nieces, nephews and her little companion, her dog Shimoo. She was predeceased by her son Marc, her father Wilfred, her mother Agnes, her stepmother Josephine and her brother Emile. The family would like to thank Dr. Harris, Mom's Girls in oncology, the staff of N3 West at Concordia Hospital, and her Home care nurse Harriet for the care and compassion shown to Mom during her illness. Prayers will be offered on Thursday evening, November 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel 1800 Day Street. Funeral Mass to follow on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 710 Roanoke Street with Father Owen Steeves officiating. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
