WILLA GLADYS WEEKS It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Willa Weeks at the Grace Hospital on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at the age of 87. Willa was predeceased by her loving husband Jack. Left to mourn are her children Sheila (Colin) Smith, Mel (Judy) Weeks, Donna Crook and Brenda (Wayne) Hassan; as well as 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Hazel Basaraba, brother Evert (Ramona) Hicks, sisters-in-law Sarah (Art) Manske and Mary Hicks. Willa spent the early years of her life in Gilbert Plains. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1957, where she spent the rest of her life. She worked at the Rehab Centre and at Rennie's Bakery for a number of years. Mother was an avid knitter and each grandchild and great- grandchild entered the world with a new shawl. She enjoyed needlepoint and crafts. Her family was the light of her life. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow on Saturday, November 17 at 1:00 p.m. in (Gilbert Plains) Eldon Cemetery. No flowers please.
