EDWARD JOSEPH SABOVITCH It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Sabovitch on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the age of 61 years. Edward was predeceased by his mother Marie, father-in-law Fred, brothers Adelord, Lionel, Albert, Dennis; sisters Beatrice, Denise, sister-in-law Shirley and brother-in-law Bob. He is survived by his wife Shirley, sisters June, Edna, Rita (Karl), Irene, Adele and sister-in-law Janice. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Ann, brothers-in-law Gordon (Mae), Jimmy (Sandy), sister-in-law Lisa (Derek), nieces Karen (Ken), Candace (Derek), Megan, Kelsey and Lauryn, nephews Kevin (Laurie), Jason (Tanja), Ty and great-nephew Brayden. In 1969, Edward married the love of his life Shirley and they spent the last 40 years sharing a life of love, friendship and happiness. Eddie was an exemplary husband and will be greatly missed by Shirley. In 1964 he went to work at CN where he took an apprenticeship as a Car-Man. After 15 years at CN, Ed went back to school and graduated with an Industrial Arts teaching degree. He taught at J.H. Bruns in Southdale and Edmond Partridge in West Kildonan, retiring in 2001. Eddie loved all kinds of sports especially baseball and hockey. He loved going fishing with his friends, his nephew Jason and great nephew Brayden. He was an avid fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Eddie was a man with a great sense of humour and a heart so big his generosity was matched by none. There wasn't anything Eddie would not do for you on a moments notice. Eddie was known as the reindeer man by many. He always had a reindeer for everyone he struck a friendship with. You can probably see a reindeer on many lawns here in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. He will be sorrowly missed by all and the world is a little sadder place without him. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations to the Humane Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111
