MARIE JEANNE CHATEL (DOLLY) March 2, 1931 - November 15, 2007 Peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Bethesda Hospital with her family by her side, Marie-Jeanne Chatel passed away after a brief and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 76. She leaves behind to mourn her beloved husband of 58 years, Marcel Chatel of Woodridge, three daughters: Diane, Janette (Dan Letkeman), Cheryl (Brian Tysoski), two sons: Ron (Louise Paille) and Alan (Michelle Pelland). Her sisters: Lea Chernetski, Delores Dunning, Norma Nowak, her brother Dollard Vandal, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many other dear friends. She was predeceased by her mom (Leona Hupe), father (Arthur Vandal), daughter Gisele, son in-law Roland Verrier and brother Norris Vandal. A memorial service will be held at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive in Steinbach, Manitoba at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007. The family would like to express their appreciation for the gentle care provided by the nurses and doctors at the Bethesda and St. Boniface Hospital.
