WALTER J. GOLKE Peacefully, on Wednesday November 14, 2007 at the Riverview Health Centre, Walter Golke passed away at the age of 78. Walter was predeceased by his parents Julius Golke and Else Mahler and his nephew Bob Golke. He leaves to mourn his passing, brother Ernest Golke from Winnipeg and his sisters, Gerda Treutschke, Ingrid Stoyan from Germany and Gisela Hoffman from North Carolina. He also leaves behind nieces, Rita Golke, Birget Kirshner, Juliana Lohse, Caroline Wright and Linda Holloway and nephews, Steffan Treutschke and Rudy Golke. Walter loved animals. He was a regular at the Assiniboine Zoo and well known by the staff. Walter was also an avid naturalist. Walter spent much of his time exploring the Whiteshell Provincial Park and he enjoyed visiting the Jessica Lake Lodge. Walter helped document the Stone Huts around Rennie, Manitoba. The family would like to thank Riverview Health Centre for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Center. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
