MELBA RUTH WERY (nee BARKER) Melba Wery left us peacefully on November 7, 2007, surrounded by family at the St. Boniface Hospital. Melba was born May 8, 1940, to Dorothy and Bill Barker from Spruce Lake, SK. She grew up in Selkirk, MB. She lived there until she met Joe and then moved to Richer, MB. Melba enjoyed crossword puzzles, cribbage and bingo. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Melba was predeceased by her father, Bill Barker and her son, Kory Wery. Melba will continue to be missed by her mother Dorothy Barker; her husband of 40 years, Joe Wery; her loving children, Cindy and Dean Little, Kevin, Keith and Kent Wery; as well as her grandchildren Kristelle, Kyle, Kyra and Kayden Wery. She also survived by her family and siblings, Earl Barker, Madeline Connacher and Jerry Barker. Cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held Sunday, November 18, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service.
