ELSIE LETITIA MCLACHLAN Elsie Letitia McLachlan died peacefully at the age of 105 years on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Oak Bay Lodge in Victoria. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Jenny Mooney, her husband James Bertie McLachlan, her son Jimmy and her brothers George and Bill. She was a loving and devoted mother and is survived by her daughters Mary Jane McLachlan of Victoria, Joan (Alex) Fedoruk of Thailand and Gayle McLachlan (Glenn Bradley) of Montreal, her grand-daughters Simone McLachlan (John McCarter) and Siobhan McLachlan (Garth Hunte) and her great-grandchildren Alexander, Bronwyn and Euan. Elsie was born in 1902 near Wawanesa, MB. She graduated in 1927 from the University of Manitoba with a BSc in Home Economics and taught for many years in the St. James School District in Winnipeg as well as in Nanaimo. She will always be remembered for her strength, dignity, enduring faith and appreciative spirit. No service by request.
