Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT BORKOFSKY Robert passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2007 at the St. Boniface General Hospital after a lengthy illness and battle with cancer. He was born on March 20, 1930 in the R.M. of Boulton, Manitoba, the son of Louis and Marianna Borkofsky. Robert was united in marriage with Lorraine Klimack on November 2, 1956 and they were blessed with two children. They farm in the Russell area until 1963 when they move to Winnipeg. Robert was employed with several produce companies over the years and until his retirement. Robert will be remembered for how he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and as an avid sports fan. His Christian faith was his confidence, He was an active member at Holy Cross and was a faithful choir member for many years. He enjoyed spending time with young children, easily becoming friends and found great joy in their company. Robert will be sadly missed by his wife Lorraine; his daughter Brenda (Kerry); his son Brian; his grandchildren, Erin and Michael (friend Sarah). His also survived by his siblings, Louis (Edna), Gustaf (Barbara) Adolph, Joseph (Bernice), Erna and Martha; as well numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and five sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Avenue. Interment to take place in Green Acres Cemetery.
