Date of Passing: Nov 16, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) JAMES GRAHAM 1934 - 2007 Bill spent his final days with his family around him. He passed away November 16, 2007. Remaining to celebrate his memory are his wife of 49 years, Marie; children, Pam (Ross), Allison (Dennis), Laura (Rob), James (Denise) and grandchildren, Jordan, Eli and Sam. Bill's adventure began in Saskatoon in 1934. The prairie farm boy took to the skies in 1955 as an RCAF CF-86 fighter pilot with 421 Squadron stationed in Grostenquin France. He met the love of his life, Airwoman Marie Laurence (from Nova Scotia), and their courtship took them all over Europe in his MGA sports car. In 1958 he left the RCAF, joined the Air Reserve, returned to Saskatoon, attended the U of S, married Marie and started a family! A few years and four children later they moved to Winnipeg, joined the 402 Reserve Squadron and he began to teach in the Winnipeg School Division, retiring from Ralph Brown in 1991, well-loved by students and staff. Retirement was sweet, with many trips to Nova Scotia, Arizona, Mexico and the Folkfest in his Dodge Ram Diesel and trailer. He was an intelligent, generous and gregarious man and will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. We wish to thank the nurses and staff of the GA3 Step Down Unit of the HSC for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, #3 St. Vital Rd. Public viewing for family and friends will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Well, Daddy, it has now been 10 years. So much has happened in all of our lives...how we wish you could be around to celebrate our successes, commiserate with us on our problems and failures, and to just raise a glass of wine in celebration of the simple things- like the end of Parent conferences (today) and the mandatory happy hour that comes after (haha). Mom is doing okay, but she could really use some company...if only it could be you. I'm retiring this year and so are Allison and Dennis! We will be having some big celebrations in June...we will be thinking of you and all that you taught us about life. Well, off to buy a bottle of wine. Miss you!❤️ - Posted by: Pam Peden (Daughter) on: Nov 17, 2017

Daddy, it has been over 5 years since you died and the pain we felt at losing you has become fainter. It has been replaced by a deep appreciation for all the things you taught us and remembering all the wonderful things we did together. I wish you were here to see all the things that have happened and to celebrate our joys and accomplishments. I hope I will see you again. - Posted by: Pam Peden (Daughter) on: Jul 17, 2013
