Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I am so grateful to the family of Russell. You see I am almost 70 years old and walking through Kildonan Park. This is my 5th time around and I am so,so grateful for the bench that you placed here in the memory of Russell. Kayla I just want you to know that your grandpa still lives because of the great love you and his family have for him by placing this park bench here to bring rest to my tired and aching body. Mental illness is a tragic thing but rest assured not where he is. I like to believe that every time somebody sits on this bench there is a little bell that goes off in heaven and it brings a smile to your grandpa’s face because of the great love you and others have for him. No more pain, anxieties, fears , doubts Or worries. Rest in peace. And It is my prayer Kayla that you find the peace that surpasses all understanding.God’s blessing to you!!!! • It has been almost 5 years since you left us grandpa and not a day goes by that we don't miss you. If only you had seen how much you meant to all of us and how much we all needed you. There will always be a special place in my heart for you, my papa. I have so many great memories of you that I will not soon forget. The day you took your life remains the most tragic day in my life, as I'm sure it was for everyone. That day you resigned your role as a father, a husband, a grandfathe and a friend. I wish we could of helped you, I wish we could have made your pain go away, I wish you would of held on just a bit longer. But nowadays I cling to the hope you are no longer struggling and that you are resting in paradise with your mother and father and siblings. I wanted to write you a tribite in hopes maybe you'd see it and know that I'm okay, we're all doing okay.. Missing you terribly, but as each day leads into tomorrow, tomorrow brings one less day without you. We all love you to the moon and back! Until we meet again, take care papa xoxo. - Posted by: Kayla (grand daughter ) on: Aug 08, 2012
