Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH ADDAWAY January 22, 1935 - November 16, 2007 Mom went to heaven today surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. She leaves her children Norman (Jeanette), Nancy (Mike), Lyle, and Norma (Bruce) to remember all the good things that made her. She was a Grandma of eight to Michael and Melissa (Norman), Mandy and Aimee (Nancy), Natalie and Nicole (Lyle), Ashlee and Alicia (Norma). She was a Great Grandma of five to Max, Emma and Maggie (Mandy), Keona and Kaylee (Ashlee). Mom was a vibrant, beautiful woman who had many talents. She was blessed with a gift for helping those in need. Her generosity and compassion truly touched the lives of many from all walks of life - she was a friend to the lost and needy giving hope and Encouragement to all. She was a servant of the Lord whom she loved dearly, She always said, God is faithful . She loved driving out to Grand Beach in her 1966 Chevy convertible. She loved to socialize in the neighbourhood, chatting with people and giving out her Good Morning greetings to those passing by. We have been blessed with great memories of Mom. From the picnics in Assiniboine Park, to her annual visit with Santa for her picture - she brought us all lots of laughter and gratitude for the woman she was. Not only was she the most fabulous cook but she was the fashion queen of Winnipeg. No go-go boots went unbought, no earring was too large or glitzy for Mom - although to know her you soon found she was the sparkle. Mom enjoyed her years at Red River College and made many dear, lifelong friends there. Many thanks to Hilda for the beautiful afghan you so lovingly made her. Thank you to Anne for your sweetness to her and for your comfort to us. Many thanks and deep appreciation to Dr. John Momoh for your care and friendship to her all these years, to John and Lois for your love to us, and to Thelma for your gift of serving others so unselfishly. Thank you to Calvary Temple for your faithfulness to her. In memory of Mom, donations can be made to your neighbour, to the homeless man on the street, to your co-worker, to the hard to love, to the lonely, to the abandoned - love someone today and do something kind. Make a difference to someone - She did. Well done thou good and Faithful Servant Parents and children love each other like there's no tomorrow; speaking sweetly to each other and offering words of encouragement. Interment has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Temple in the Buntain Chapel, Friday, November 23, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
