JESSIE CHARLOTTE LOUISE FEAKES (nee ASHBY) Peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2007, at the age of 93 years, Mom passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Mom will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her devoted children, John (Margaret), Don (Barb), Dave (Deanna), Betty (Don), Pat (Jay), Darlene, Ken (June), Bill, Maureen and Debbie; sister Betty; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her devoted husband of 64 years, Jack; son Terry; sister Marjorie; brother Freddy; mother Jessie and father Albert Ashby; grandchildren, Jody, Donnie, Jay, Sharon and great-grandchild Ashton. Mom was born September 11, 1914, in Swift Current, SK. Later she moved to Winnipeg and in 1939 she married the love of her life, Jack, and together they raised 11 children. In the early years Mom devoted her life to taking care of her family and the family home was always open to anyone in need. Later in life she was employed with the Salvation Army. Mom's greatest love was for her family. In return she was treated like a queen. She wore her crown with pride. She enjoyed the times she travelled to England and Swift Current and in recent years, the weekend trips to the trailer in Gimli. She also had a soft spot for Her Tony. You were always there when we needed you No task too great or small With a loving heart and a willing hand For us you did it all. Sweet dreams, Mummy Pallbearers are: John Feakes, Don E. Feakes, Dave Feakes, Bill Feakes, Don Johnston and Rick Feakes. Junior pallbearer Mitchell Larson. A special thank you to Val, Nancy, Carol and Cathy in the Oncology Clinic at Concordia Hospital and to Ola and Naomi from Palliative Care. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with viewing prior. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
