Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE THOMPSON MACDONALD With great sadness, the family announces the death of Jane affectionately known as Aunt Jen, Beloved Aunt of Dale Platford, Doug Platford, Gary Platford, Barry Abram, Janice McKay and family throughout Canada. Jane passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Lion's Personal Care Centre, Winnipeg at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis Clifford in 1943, her Second Husband Hugh Mac Donald 1973, her sons William 1951 and Kenneth 1973, her parents, her sisters Anne Platford, Nell Cutler, and Mary Abram and her brother William,. She is survived by her brother John (Jack) in Cheltenham, UK and numerous nieces and nephews. Jane was born September 17, 1910 in Norwood Grove, Manitoba. She worked for several years for the T. Eaton Co. and in 1941 enlisted with the women's division of the R.C.A.F. Jane was an active curler for many years, a life member of the Veteran Ladies Curling Club and the Pembina Ladies Curling Club where she served a term as President. She also enjoyed her cottage at Red Rock Lake for many years. A service of remembrance will take place on Saturday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with interment to follow. The Family would like to express a very special thank you and appreciation to all the staff on the 4th floor, Lion's Personal Care Centre for their loving care and family support.
