Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA AIDA PEREIRA Peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease, Maria Aida Pereira passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 72 years. Maria will be sadly missed by three sons Manuel (Maria), Jose (Dalia) and Mario (Donna), daughter Aida (Daniel) Smith, nine grandchildren Joshua, Melanie, Stefanie, Cory, Jesse, Jory, Gia, Aidan and Nicholas. She also leaves to mourn her passing, five sisters, Maria Goncalo, Ascencao Estacio, Matilde Sousa, Belmira Pavao and Nelia Cabral, three brothers Antonio, Francisco and Manuel Borges and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel in 1984 and two brothers Filipo and Jose Borges. The family would like to thank the staff of CCU at the Health Sciences Centre. Prayers will be held on Thursday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Very Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.S. officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
