DORIS JOHNSON (nee COWIE) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Granny, Auntie and Friend of Langley, BC at the age of 74 on November 15, 2007. Born July 28, 1933 in Oak Point, Manitoba, Doris was predeceased by her husband Doug, and her son Ray. Doris will be lovingly remembered and survived by her son Doug (Carol), daughter Debbie Nord (Earl), and her best friend and partner in life of 27 years, Edward Scott Petrie, stepchildren, Mike and Denise (Dennis), grandchildren, Tanya, Jackie and Doug, daughter-in-law Sonia and family, brothers, Len (Edith), Cecil (Pauline), Lloyd (Diane), sisters, Vera (Ron), Eileen (Rene), Rita (Harvey) and Marion, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Doris's greatest joy in life was watching her children and grandchildren participate in various sporting events. She will always be missed and never forgotten. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., at the Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, Maple Ridge, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Doris's memory.
