EDWARD HENRY WACHAL It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Edward Henry Wachal on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Concordia General Hospital. Edward is predeceased by his beloved wife Stella and his brothers, Tony, Frank, Edmond and John. Edward will be forever missed by his children, Barry (Sylvia) and Marilyn (Brian) Wasney, grandchildren, Rick, Dan, Teresa, Rob and David and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Dilan, Gillian, Elizabeth, Emily and Rhyan. He will also be missed by his sisters, Hedwig Ritchie and Jean Kupchak. Edward was born in Winnipeg and was a life-long resident of East St. Paul. He was devoted to his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In the beginning, Ed was a steam fitter by trade. He then developed his interest in construction, eventually forming his own company, Wachal Construction. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Crescent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3L 0K6.
