MARY JUNETTA STEWART Peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2007, Junetta passed away at Tuxedo Villa in her 88th year. Junetta was born on September 12, 1920 in Winnipeg, spent her youth in Montreal before returning to Winnipeg where she spent the remainder of her life. Junetta had a satisfying career of over 30 years in retail with Henry Birks Sons. For many years she volunteered with the Children's Hospital Book Market. She enjoyed her travels and especially memorable were the Passion Play at Oberammergau and her visit to see family in Australia. She was predeceased by her parents Janet and Alexander Stewart. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Margaret and brother in-law Russell Eastwood, as well as her nephews John Eastwood and his wife Georgina, Brian Eastwood and his wife Dymoon all of Ottawa, Ontario. She was especially close to her niece Janet Campbell and husband Alexander Campbell and family. She is also survived by many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date at Brookside Cemetery. For those who wish to remember Junetta donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society.
