Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLEN M. MOORE (nee WHITE) July 3, 1927 November 11, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Ellen with family by her side at Hamiota Hospital. She is survived by Mel, her husband and closest friend of almost 56 years. Mom is lovingly remembered by her children Cole Moore (Dianna) and Erin Taylor (Tom) along with her grandchildren Remi, Mason, Brayden, Dalis and Lauren and her niece Eileen Currier (Mike). Ellen spent her early adult life as a librarian at United College and then the Winnipeg Tribune. She and Mel raised their family in Niakwa Park in Winnipeg for over 28 years. In this time she returned to university to continue her education in philosophy and then spent several years working in their family business, Borton's Sales. She later opened Traders Choice Books, which enabled her to nurture her passion for reading. In retirement they returned to the family farm in Hamiota that has always been their favorite place. Ellen's passion in life was her study of and dedication to author, Ayn Rand and the philosophy of Objectivism. Above all she was an amazing wife and mother who was always the voice of reason and tower of strength for her family. We wish to acknowledge the superb assistance and gracious consideration extended to Ellen and her family by the doctors, nurses and support staff of the Hamiota Hospital. No one could have done better. A private family service will be held in Hamiota at a later date. Donations can be made in honour of Ellen to a charity of your choice.
