Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN EVELYN BAXTER Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, Helen Evelyn Baxter (Allard) passed away at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, at the age of 86 years. Remaining to forever cherish Helen's memory are her sons James of Deleau, Manitoba, and Douglas of Winnipeg; grand-children Shannon (Kevin) Sterling of Airdrie, Alberta, Jodi of Winnipeg, and Christopher (Corinna) of Calgary; great-grandchildren Abbigael, Evan and Hannah; and extended family Bruce, Erin, Britt and Olivia Billson of Winnipeg. Helen was predeceased by her husband James (1984) of Calgary, and her sisters Viola Simson (1984) of Lively, Ontario, Verna Bamber (1995), and Stella Allard (2000) both of Sudbury, Ontario. Helen was born in Coniston, Ontario but lived most of her life in Alberta where she was a teacher at St. Margaret Elementary school for many years. Since 1999 she was living in Winnipeg where she greatly enjoyed her last years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard at Grant Avenue with Rev. Fr. Berry Schoonbaert presiding. A very special thank you to the staff on the fourth floor of the Convalescent Home for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo Street N. Winnipeg, Manitoba R3R 2N6.
