Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT GEORGE DESCHUTTER It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden death of Albert George DeSchutter of Surrey, BC on October 7, 2007 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 82. Albert was born in Fort William, Ontario (now Thunder Bay) on June 25, 1925. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War as an able seaman on the North Atlantic. When the war was over he worked at a diverse number of jobs until he began his career with the Federal Government at Canada Post. Albert retired from Canada Post in the 1980s and for a few years after retirement he sold cars. He married the love of his life Constance (nee Desautels) in 1948 and together they raised six children John, Beverly (Garry), Patti, Dave (Anita), Angeline (Jay) and Thomas (Leslie). He was the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy and Albert devoted most of his time to supporting his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Albert was a devout Roman Catholic whose belief in God never waivered. He was a strong advocate for praying the daily rosary and ensured that anyone he met received a rosary if they wanted one. He was laid to rest on October 15, 2007 in Surrey, BC. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Donations in Albert's memory may be made to Totus Tuus Rosary Makers, 9408 Paliser Place S.W., Calgary, Alberta T2V 3T2 or to Our Lady of Fatima at the Fatima Center, 452 Kraft Road, Fort Erie Ontario L2A 9Z9.
