ALEXANDER MOORE GUNNESS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Moore Gunness, beloved husband, father and grandfather. Al passed away peacefully with family by his side at 6:00 p.m., November 14, 2007. Al is survived by his loving wife Jacquie of 56 years, their two children Greg and Karen (Glen), sister Donna Lou (Barry), grandchildren Jason (Michelle), Justine (Travis), Tara (Ryan), Jennifer (Tim) and great-grandchildren Jeremy, Ashley, Dylan, Tyler, Brody, Chloe and Baby Sophie. The family would like to thank the staff at Richmond Hospital, the ambulance attendants and especially Dr. Jakowbowski, Dr. Karjela and Dr. Faulkner for whom which the last few years would not have been possible. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He closed His arms around you And whispered, Come to Me. With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you pass away. And though we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back to suffer that again. A memorial service was held at Richmond Funeral Home on Saturday, November 24 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations care of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
