He worked for Winnipeg Transit for over 40 years and was an active member of the Winnipeg Sketch Club and St. Vital United Church. George spent 40 great summers building, then renovating the family cottage at Falcon Lake, as well enjoyed the time he spent as a weekend farmer at Glenora. He was a creative, artistic individual whose painting grace the walls of many of his family and friends. They will serve to remind us all of his hardworking, patient, generous spirit. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dear Joan and David This truly marks the end of a part of my life. As a dear friend of mom and dad's I felt as close a connection to your dad as I did to most of my Uncles. He was a quiet unassuming man with high morals and strong convictions. My children met him and your mom several times in Winnipeg and still remember him as the man who "took his finger off" They were memsmerzed by that trick. My deepest sympathies go to you and your families. Sincerely Pat and Brian Gibson - Posted by: Pat Gibson (Friend) on: Nov 27, 2007
