NAGY M.D. Believing and trusting in God's love and everlasting life Katrina passed away November 23, 2007 in the Deer Lodge Hospital. She was predeceased by her father (Reverend Istvan Nagy), mother, one sister and two brothers in Hungary. Katrina was born in Debrecen Hungary. She fled Hungary as a university student, before Soviet occupation and arrived to Canada in 1948. She worked at the Red Cross and Municipal Hospital during the polio epidemics until she enrolled to the Manitoba University School of Medicine. Katrina graduated in 1959 with M.D. degree and joined the Faculty of Medicine teaching human Anatomy and Cell Sciences at the Medical and Dental College. She received the Research Degree in Cell Science with Dr. Bertalanffy. For 28 years, she taught students who respected and loved her. She will be dearly missed by sister Palma of Winnipeg, nieces, nephews and their families in Hungary, Germany and Holland and her numerous friends in Canada, USA and Europe. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. The service will be celebrated in Hungarian and English. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Manitoba Medical College Foundation Inc., 260 Brodie Centre, 727 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 3P5.
