Date of Passing: Nov 25, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK CARL WIRGAU Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, and great-uncle, Frank, on November 25, 2007, at the age of 53 years. Frank leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his brothers, Brian, George, and Harold; and sisters, Brenda (Garry), Sharen (James), and Debbie (Gil). He was predeceased by two brothers in infancy, his father Carl Wirgau, and his mother Levina Wirgau (Staerk). Frank was born in Teulon, Manitoba to Carl and Levina Wirgau. The family moved to Whitemouth just after Frank was born. Frank was raised on the family farm. Frank began his employment at an early age at Sun Gro, the local peat moss processing plant. Except for a short stint as a driller's helper in the early eighties he remained working at the Elma plant until this past summer when he became ill. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Whitemouth Homecare staff for their professional and compassionate care. To Elsie Henderson for her visits that would cheer him up. To Frank's many friends and neighbours for assisting Frank when he became ill. To the staff of the Pinawa Hospital for their compassionate care of our brother in his final days and to their patience in answering our calls and questions. To our sister Debbie for watching over and taking care of Frank since our mom passed away in 2004. To our brother Harold for taking care of Frank's yard and all the other things that he became too weak to do. At Frank's request cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Whitemouth, Manitoba, with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Interment of the ashes will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Whitemouth, Manitoba R0E 2G0 or Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
