SALLY WARREN (nee STELLA WOJOCKA) On Sunday, November 25, 2007, Sally (Stella) passed away peacefully at Kildonan Personal Care Home. She was 101 years of age. She was predeceased by her daughter Phyllis in 1940, and her son Eddie in November 2002. She is survived by her son, Frank Lawrence (Marina) in Winnipeg, her daughter-in-law, Joyce Lawrence in Edmonton; ten grand-children, Michael (Joanne), John, Frank, Sandra (Gerry), Susan (Kristof) in Edmonton, Peter (Susan) in Calgary, Rena (Dave), Annalee (Rob), Gretchen (Dale) in Winnipeg, and Paul (Charissa) in Calgary. She also has 19 great-grandchildren. Sally was born July 12, 1906 in Vassar, Manitoba. She worked hard all her life, first in a sewing factory in Winnipeg, then from the mid 1950s to the mid 1970s in Toronto, Montreal, and San Francisco as a nurse's aid. The last 30 years of her life were spent in Winnipeg. She was a wonderful cook and could turn the simplest ingredients into a gourmet meal. The family would like to thank Brother Gerry Craig, who gave her the last rites and Kildonan Personal Care Home for the compassionate and loving care they gave to our mother and grandmother during the years she spent there.
