Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVETTE LORRAINE ROY (nee LALONDE) November 15, 1923 - November 24, 2007 It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. After a lengthy illness Yvette passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side. She leaves to mourn in her passing her loving husband of 61 years Roland; one daughter Jeanne (Ed) Turenne; four sons, Urbain (Elizabeth), Larry (Linda), Louis (Jeannine), Paul (Lorraine); as well as seven grandchildren, Brigitte, Lisa, John, Janessa, Andre, Justin, and Colin. Born, raised and married in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan, she moved with her husband Roland and young family to Winnipeg in 1962 after a tragic fire. In Winnipeg she raised her children and was the backbone of the family business, Roy's Refrigeration. Yvette was an avid curler, who also enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening, knitting and numerous other activities. Yvette and Roland spent summers at Twin Beach and Ingolf, and winters in Pharr South, Texas. Her last years were spent at Tache Centre. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 29, St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Cathedral with Father Ed Bonin celebrant. A private interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff that took the time to take extra special care of mom during her stay at Tache Centre.
