NEIL DELURY Peacefully, Monday morning November 26, 2007 after a courageous battle with pancreatic and lung cancer, Neil DeLury, beloved husband of Beryl and loving Father of Michele in Nevada, Van (Tammy), Erin (Jack) and Ryan (Jenny); Grand-children Jessica, Jordan, Kiana, Kiara, Kelan, Kaitlyn, Austin, Braidyn and Quinn; Neil's family in California: Father John (Sandy), sister Karen (Forrest), brother John (Jane); the Van Burens: Hugh, Carl, George, Brian (Kristine) and JoAnn (Michael); Len Greisman (Bev), and many nieces, nephews, friends and work associates. Neil was born July 6, 1937 in Oakland, California. He received a B.A. from San Francisco University and an LLB from Lincoln University. Neil met Beryl in San Francisco while he was working as a state auditor. They married in Winnipeg in 1967, returning to San Francisco where their four children were born. In 1978 they moved to Winnipeg so Beryl could be close to her family. Neil practiced Accounting ever since. Diagnosed in January 2005, Neil fought like a 49er. Despite complications from his second surgery, Neil never complained of pain, discomfort or difficulties. He never allowed the disease to better him, fighting with a will of steel. Heartfelt thanks to: Drs. Mayba, Lipschitz, Wong and Tan; Roanne and the nurses at WHRA who cared for Neil. Flowers declined. Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
