BEATRICE F. RITCHOT (nee COLLETTE) It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Beatrice Ritchot on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Victoria General Hospital. She joined her husband and Jesus, with the love of her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Dollard (Dolly), her infant daughter Florette, her parents Amedee and Bella Collette and brother Florent. She leaves to mourn her children, Marc, Rene (Darlene), Claudette, Robert (Renee) and grandchildren, Kyle (fiancée Jamie Knox), Rachel (Marcel Nolette), Cory, Tyler, Jeremy, Kayley and Teagan. She also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, Alcide (Carmelle) Collette, Lorraine (Roger) Daneault, Rolande (Andre) Sabourin, Raymond (Irene) Collette and sister-in-law Germaine Collette, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was born on January 19, 1928 in Ste. Elizabeth, MB and had many fond memories growing up there. She later moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Dolly. They married on June 19, 1954 and lived in St. Vital for a short time before moving to the farm near Ile des Chenes, MB. There they raised four children before the sudden passing of her beloved husband in July 1971. Mom then moved her young family to the town of Ile des Chenes where she lived until her passing. Mom was a very special person, devoting her life to raising her children and grandchildren. That same caring and concern was applied to the children at St. Amant Centre, where she worked in Housekeeping. In her spare time, she loved to cook and entertain no one ever left her home hungry! Spending time with family and good friends was what brought her great joy. Her other passions in life included painting, camping and times spent at the lake with her family. Her love of card games, especially Barouche extended into her own creative sign language to guarantee victory! Mom, your smile inspired us all to smile. Your courage and strength throughout your illness was a true reflection of your character. Your love of life taught us to live every moment to the fullest. We will love and remember you always. The family wishes to thank Victoria General Hospital for their passionate care and concern. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Prayers will be held Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Church in Ile-des-Chênes, MB. Cremation will follow and interment will occur at a later date. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
