JUNE NORA CRIERIE (nee MCLEAN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife and mother June Crierie at the Grace Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, November 26, 2007. Mom was born in Virden, MB, on June 16, 1929, to Sterling and Molly McLean. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Don; her children, Colleen (Cliff) Nesbitt, Robert (Lorraine) Crierie and Sandi (Mike) Klingbell; and her most treasured grandchildren, Mathew, Blair (Kendra), Lee (Lindsay), Lisa (Dan), Madelaine, and Jennifer (Dominic); and her three great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her brother Terry (Ethel) McLean; her sisters-in-laws, Phillis (Ed) Sirtonski and Betty (Jack) Rodie; and numerous nephews and nieces. Mom and Dad were married on May 5, 1951, and lived in Winnipeg ever since. One of Mom and Dad's greatest joys was visiting Hawaii yearly. Mom worked at Sears from 1964 until her retirement in 1989. Mom and Dad's favourite pastime was their weekly dancing. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the staff on the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital for their special care given to Mom, especially Dr. George. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Parish, 264 Donwood Dr. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Room ON109, R3E 0V9.
